Jennifer has been a successful business owner, for over 25 years in Derby (UK), and North Bondi (Sydney). Her hair salons always had a focus on client wellbeing, excellent hair and to try and make the business as sustainable as possible.
The hard work on the salon floor starting to take its toll on her body. Muscle aches, Tendonitis, and Bursitis, lower back ache and arthritic fingers…… She realised she needed to look after herself better.
Massage, Sauna’s and Jacuzzi’s were great for helping with all of this, and an introduction to Naturopathy and a healthier eating plan. She started to feel better.
In 2019 a seed was planted, that Jennifer would by a house and turn part of it into a Day Spa, she wanted to build a business based on recycle and reuse and purchase the setup of the business to support local charity shops or 2nd hand shops, rather than use major companies. She wanted to collaborate with local artists and help promote their business through hers. Everything about Amaroo Day Spa will be proudly Australian, and a focus on helping others.
No bank loans or government grants were to be used. Just hard work, a bit of time and determination.
Jennifer toured the East Coast of Australia in search of the perfect place.
She chose the Sunshine Coast.
